Within the Great Clans of the vampire world The Illuminatti are also called the Children of Lilith. Direct lineage is claimed to the first wife of Adam. According to clan legend, The Creator of the Universe separated Adam and Lilith because of irreconcilable differences. A new mate was made for Adam (Eve). And a new assignment was given to Lilith.
She was charged by the Creator with the collecting and preserving of knowledge. The powers, that are now considered vampiric, were to assist her in her assignment. Those powers were passed both by the Blood and by her loins to her descendants and their descendants through history.
Unlike many of the Great clans, The Law of the Children of Lilith forbids them to kill. Instead they form intimate feeding circles to meet the needs of hunger.
Children of Lilith tend to be teachers, writers, publishers, editors, researchers, filmmakers and videographers, professions that have to do with the collection and preservation of knowledge. In some form, they carry on the assignment first given to their Mother, and preserved within the Twelve Laws.

The symbol at the core of the sigil of the "Illuminatti", or "The Children of Lilith", is called an angelic LAMED.
Our legends teach us that the seraphic messengers who are part of our primogenic line, speak perfect Hebrew. They write it differently using their own angelic alphabet. Although it looks nothing like the Hebrew letter LAMED, the meanings are the same. LAMED is the first letter in the name Lilith. It is by this symbol that the Children of Lilith have identified each other over the millennia.
THE GOLDEN CIRCLE surrounding the letter is worn by those of our kin who have both a beloved partner or vessel and one or more dhampir. (As I am mated and have two dhampir, the right to THE GOLDEN CIRCLE is accorded me.)
The DHAMPIR DAGGER, with the drop of blood, is the symbol of my house. Those of my clutch are permitted to use it. The three sacred symbols together represent my family line to the great clans.
